2019-todate: Upfield: I joined in August 2019 as Managing director initially for Greece, Cyprus and Albania and in 2021 I assumed overall accountability for South East Europe adding Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Cosovo, North Macedonia, Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria to countries of responsibility. Key priority for the region was to lead the separation of the newly formed regional business unit from Unilever, following the acquisition of the global spreads and oils division by KKR and turn the business back to growth following a decade of decline.
2011-2019: Sklavenitis Group: Initially joined as Head of Strategy and Expansion – key role aiming to reorganise the company and prepare the organisation for a series of acquisitions that eventually created the largest retailer in Greece with more than €3B sales, 500+ stores and approximately 30,000 employees. Following the acquisition of Carrefour in Greece in 2016, as Chief Operating Officer I led company efforts to secure the smooth migration of the local Carrefour network.
1996-2011 Kraft Foods Greece: I held various commercial roles across Field Sales, Key Account Management and General Management.
1996-2002: Several roles in field sales (Sales Supervisor, Area Manager and Key Account Manager) covering all sales channels
2002: Promoted to National Key Account & Trade Marketing Manager responsible for the development of Kraft’s Retail business in Greece
2004: Promoted to Sales Director responsible for all local sales channels (Retail, Wholesale and Food Service)
2009: Promoted to Managing Director and led the merger with Cadburys creating the biggest snacking company in Greece with a Net Revenue of €200M and a bottom line margin of €50M
He is a member of the Board of Directors : 2020 to date ELBISCO SA, 2020 to date Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB Hellas), 2011 – 2019 Greek Retail Institute for Research and Development etc.
He has an LLM in International and Commercial Law from the University of Buckingham, UK as well he holds a BSc in Business Administration from the same university.
